Two Arkansas Junior Amateur Champions were crowned at Desoto Golf Course in Hot Springs Village. 

Four Arkansas students receive the 2020 Arnold Palmer Scholarship

The Arkansas State Golf Association and the First Tee of Central Arkansas are pleased to announce the award winners of the newly established Arnold Palmer Scholarship. The recipients and their colleges of choice are:

  • Max Bell, Benton High School, Arkansas State University
  • Sydney Czanstkowski, Mountain Home High School, Lyon College
  • William Monroe, Catholic High School (Little Rock), University of Arkansas
  • Brooklyn Waller, Bryant High School, University of Arkansas

2020 Arkansas Amateur Championship Rescheduled at Hot Springs Country Club

For Immediate Release, May 13, 2020

The 2020 Arkansas Amateur Championship, originally scheduled May 28-30 at Hardscrabble Country Club in Fort Smith, has been rescheduled at Hot Springs Country Club’s Arlington Course June 26-28.  The ASGA Executive Committee agreed that the late May date was too early in the current climate of the Covid 19 Pandemic and Hardscrabble, which is now expected to host in 2022, was unable to move the championship to a later date.

Southern Junior Cup Matches Postponed Until 2021

After careful consideration and a collaborative review, the Arkansas State Golf Association (ASGA) in conjunction with the Alabama Golf Association, Mississippi Golf Association, and Missouri Golf Association made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Southern Junior Cup scheduled for August 3-5 at Shadow Valley Country Club in Rogers, AR.
