New Rules Are Not Chaos

Seinfeld fans will recall the episode that Kramer says "without rules, there's chaos" after his opponent lifted the ball on the 15th hole and cleaned it - which of course is only permitted on the putting green. Golfers today might be surprised to learn that the first time the ball could be lifted and cleaned on the putting green was 1960.

Brooks Morgan & Three USGA Interns Added to ASGA Staff

Brooks Morgan, who completed a six-month United States Golf Association (USGA) P.J. Boatwright Internship for the ASGA in 2018, was added to the ASGA Staff January 1st. His role as Director of Member Services will include handing the financial affairs of the association, coordinating the volunteer course-rating teams and assisting the staff, member clubs, PGA Professionals and Board of Directors in all areas related to the ASGA's core services.
