USNDP Team Arkansas

Team Arkansas Selection Criteria:

Team Arkansas will be comprised of 4 boys and 4 girls who are at least 13 years of age by January 1 of the year in which the athlete is to participate on Team Arkansas and must not reach their 19th birthday by July of that same year.

• Top 2 ELIGIBLE Boys and Girls on the 2025-2026 ASGA Junior Player of the Year Standings through the Randy Beaver Memorial Junior Championship July 23-24, 2026.
• The Committee shall select the third and fourth players for each team (2 Boys and 2 Girls)
• Selection is made at the sole discretion of the Committee and may consider any information it deems relevant, including but not limited to:
• Performance in local, state, regional and national events
• Participation history
• Ranking databases including ASGA, AJGA, WAGR, Junior Golf Scoreboard and TUGR, 
• External or situational factors. No single factor is determinative.
• Junior golfers must have competed in a minimum of two ASGA individual tournaments beginning September 1, 2025. Team events do not qualify.
• Participation in the ASGA Junior Amateur and ASGA Junior Match Play Championships is highly encouraged.

The Committee retains the full authority to interpret, apply, modify, waive, or deviate from these criteria at its discretion, as it deems appropriate and in the best interest of the Association and Team Arkansas.

Who is on Team Arkansas?

The Team Arkansas Selection Committee will name 4 boys and 4 girls to Team Arkansas in 2026. Athletes earn their way onto the team through outstanding competitive performance during the 2026 season.

When will team Arkansas Start?

Team Arkansas will be named in late 2026. Team members will participate in Team Arkansas programming and benefits in 2027. Players must earn their way onto the team each year.

Do You Need To Be An Arkansas Resident To Be Part Of Team Arkansas?

Yes. Only players who are Arkansas residents and U.S. citizens are eligible for Team Arkansas.

How Old Do You Need To Be To Be Part Of Team Arkansas?

Players must be 13 years old by January 1, 2027, have not reached their 19th birthday by July 19, 2027, and must not be enrolled in college for the 2026-2027 school year.

Are There Any Other Requirements To Be On Team Arkansas?

Players must have an established Handicap Index® with the Arkansas State Golf Association and enter all eligible scores to be eligible for Arkansas.

If An Athlete Is Part Of Team Arkansas, Are They Automatically A Part Of The U.S. National Development Program?

Yes! Once named to Team Arkansas, athletes are a part of the U.S. National Development Program (USNDP) for the following calendar year. The USNDP will provide benefits and recognition to Team Arkansas participants. These benefits may include recognition on the USGA/USNDP website and social media, streamlined USNDP grant applications, exemptions into local AJGA events, and access to the official USNDP statistical platform and athlete development resources. If An Athlete Is Part Of Team Arkansas, Are They Automatically A Part Of The National Junior Team?

No. The National Junior Team is determined by the USGA and will be a relatively small number of athletes compared to the number of athletes on State Teams.
