ELIGIBILITY: Open to male and female amateur golfers who are individual members of the ASGA. This is the second time the men?s amateur and women?s amateur will be held at the same time. The minimum age is 16, non-residents are not eligible, except a person may live in Texarkana, Texas but MUST be a member of Texarkana C.C. & an individual member of the ASGA. ENTRY DEADLINE: May 19 at 4:00 p.m. or until the field is full, whichever comes first.
TEE MARKERS: Men will play from approximately 7,000 yards, Women will play approximately 5,800-6,000 yards. THERE IS ONLY ONE DIVISION FOR MEN AND ONE DIVISION FOR WOMEN.
ENTRY FEE: $260 per player includes 1 SEAT ON A CART for all three tournament rounds, OR IF A PLAYER WANTS TO WALK ? THE ENTRY FEE IS $180.
IF ?WALKING? IS YOUR CHOICE, IT MIGHT NOT BE POSSIBLE TO CHANGE BECAUSE OF CART AVAILABILITY. PLEASE CHECK APPROPRIATE BOX ON FRONT and mail the correct entry fee.
SCHEDULE OF PLAY: 18 holes on Thursday, June 1 & Friday, June 2. The field is cut approximately in half for final round, Saturday, June 3. In the event of inclement weather, the ASGA reserves the right to reduce this championship to 36 holes, with a cut after one round. Please note the size of the field is limited so enter early to guarantee a spot.
PRACTICE ROUND: One practice round is available the week of competition for a ?cart? fee. Special thanks to Scott McClinton, PGA Professional and Jed Spencer, GCSAA Superintendent. The pro shop number is 501-821-7565. ALL PLAY WILL BE ON THE ?FOUNDERS COURSE.?
TROPHIES/CERTIFICATES: The winner and runner-up in both men and women division will receive individual trophies. Ties for 1st settled by playoff ? all others split. Chenal C.C. Pro Shop Gift Certificates will be awarded to the low finishers in each division.
EXEMPT PLAYERS: For MEN, past 5 State Am Champs, top 25 in Amateur Standings from 2022; 2022 Junior Boys Player of the Year. 2022 Junior Boys State Amateur & Senior Amateur Champions. Additionally (NEW) the top 3 players not already exempt in the amateur division of 2023 Men?s Designated Tournaments at Chamberlyne, Big Creek & Pine Bluff CC Exemptions by Host Club & Special Exemptions handled on a case-by-case basis. For WOMEN, 2021 Winners from Women?s Amateur, Mid-Amateur, Senior Amateur and Girls Junior Amateur, 2021 Players of the Year in those same divisions, 2021 USGA Qualifiers, Host Club?s Club Champion and other Exemptions by Request. Exempt Players in both men and women guaranteed spot in field if entered by May 17.
