The Arkansas State Golf Association hosted a full-capacity crowd for the 2025 Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet.
LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Arkansas State Golf Association hosted a full-capacity crowd for the 2025 Arkansas Golf Hall of Fame & Awards Banquet. This event brought together golf leaders, players, and supporters from across the state. The evening recognized the newest Hall of Fame inductees, honored season-long competitive achievements, and generated meaningful support for ASGA programs.
The banquet featured the formal induction of the Class of 2025, which included four individuals selected for their lasting impact on golf in Arkansas:
- Risë Alexander - Former ASGA junior standout and nationally respected collegiate coach.
- Deane Pappas, P.G.A. - Razorback All-American, professional tour winner, and longtime golf instructor.
- Darrell Shelton, P.G.A. - Director of Golf at the Country Club of Little Rock, with over 30 years of service.
- Glen Talbert - One of the most decorated amateur golfers in ASGA history.
Each inductee was recognized for career accomplishments, contributions to the game, and influence within the Arkansas golf community.
In addition to the Hall of Fame ceremony, the ASGA presented the Simmons Bank Players of the Year, celebrating golfers across multiple divisions who accumulated the most points throughout the 2024-2025 season.
A silent auction held during the event drew strong participation from attendees and raised significant funds to support ASGA initiatives, including junior golf opportunities, tournament programs, and statewide outreach efforts. Clubs, supporters, and partners across Arkansas donated auction items.
