2025 Simmons Bank Players of the Year

The Arkansas State Golf Association is proud to announce the 2025 Simmons Bank Players of the Year, honoring golfers who demonstrated consistent excellence, sportsmanship, and dedication throughout a competitive season. Points were earned across ASGA-sanctioned events, with champions rising to the top of their divisions through outstanding performances statewide.

Junior Boys: Henry O’Keefe - Little Rock

Henry O’Keefe produced one of the most dominant junior seasons in ASGA history, winning both the State Junior Amateur and Junior Match Play Championships and earning a runner-up finish at the Hot Springs Country Club Junior Championship. O'Keefe, a senior at Little Rock Christian is committed to play collegiate golf at Iowa State University.

Girls: Chloe Freville - Little Rock

Chloe Freville delivered a dominant junior season, earning wins at the "Monk" Wade Junior Classic and the Arkansas Junior Amateur Championship, along with multiple top-five finishes across state junior events. A senior at Mount St. Mary Academy, Freville is committed to playing collegiate golf at Arkansas Tech University.

Men: Nick Zimmerman - Sherwood

In six ASGA events, Nick Zimmerman claimed the Maumelle Classic title, earned runner-up honors in the Men’s Match Play, and qualified for the 44th U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, securing one of the state’s most impressive seasons.

Women: Caroline Hughes - Jonesboro

Arkansas State Red Wolves standout Caroline Hughes claimed the Women’s Match Play Championship and delivered a strong showing at the State Amateur, securing her place at the top of the women’s standings this season.

Men’s Mid-Amateur: Steve Wilson - Bryant

Steve Wilson earned the Mid-Amateur honor with wins at the Hot Springs Designated and Men’s Match Play Championships, along with a strong runner-up finish at the Pine Bluff Designated.

Women’s Mid-Amateur: Monica Blake - Little Rock

Monica Blake’s consistent play earned her the Mid-Amateur title, highlighted by a victory at the Women’s Mid-Am Championship and a top-four finish at the Eclectic, along with a solid performance at the Sarah Hardison Four-Ball.

Men’s Senior: Chris Jenkins - Little Rock

Chris Jenkins collected major victories at the 51st Arkansas Open and Men’s Match Play, while adding top-three finishes at the Sherwood Amateur, Pine Bluff Designated, and Men’s Senior Amateur Championship in a standout six-event season.

Women’s Senior: Julie Oxendine - Russellville

ASGA Hall of Famer Julie Oxendine shone this season with wins at the Pine Bluff Designated, Eclectic, and Women’s Senior Amateur, plus runner-up finishes in both the Match Play and Two-Lady Scramble. She also finished second in qualifying for the U.S. Women’s Senior Amateur.

Men’s Super Senior: Bobby Baker - Little Rock

Bobby Baker captured the Men’s Match Play title and finished runner-up in both the Men’s Senior Amateur Championship and Hot Springs Country Club Designated event, along with a third-place finish at Pine Bluff Country Club.

Women’s Super Senior: Kim Robinson - Hot Springs

Kim Robinson earned back-to-back Player of the Year honors behind victories at the Hot Springs Country Club Designated, Women’s Senior Amateur, and Sarah Hardison Four-Ball, paired with strong third-place finishes at the Two-Lady Scrambles.

Men’s Legend: Craig Irsch - Searcy

Craig Irsch earned the Legends crown with a runner-up finish in the Men’s Match Play, third place at the Men’s Senior Amateur Championship, and strong showings in the Maumelle Classic and Hot Springs CC Designated events.

Women’s Legend: Rebecca Huber - Hot Springs Village

Rebecca Huber had another standout year, capturing titles at the Hot Springs Country Club Designated and Women’s Senior Amateur while also finishing runner-up in the Women’s Match Play competition.

 All honorees will be recognized at the ASGA Hall of Fame Banquet on Thursday, November 20. Congratulations to each of our champions on a remarkable season, and thank you to all ASGA competitors for your continued dedication to golf in Arkansas!
