Welcome to the 2023 ASGA Father-Son Golf Tourney information page. First off, I would like to send a huge thank you to Shadow Valley CC and Fayetteville CC for sharing two fantastic venues for our event. Closing their course to membership for two days is quite a chore in the heart of golf season.

You may also note this year we have changed the name a bit. We felt it necessary to honor Chester Lowe for his thankless hours of volunteer work attributed to the game of golf in the state of Arkansas and nationwide. Chester was involved for many years on the ASGA Board of Directors and too many rules committees nationwide to count. He gave a lot and ask for nothing like all great volunteers do.

The field is open to all father-son type combinations. It can be in-laws, step father/son, grandfather/grandson...all combinations welcome. The minimum age is 12 years old. Tee box assignments will be age appropriate at each course.

Entry fee is $450 per team. Included with this entry is 2 days golf, carts, range balls, and lunch for both players. Non-alcoholic drinks and snacks on the course are also included.

Practice rounds can be accommodated by calling in advance. On weekends these need to be after 2PM. These are not included in the entry fee.

This event has a unique format which can be a lot of fun as well as very frustrating at times.
The 6-6-6 format will consist of the following:
*6 Holes Scramble

*6 Holes Best Ball (each player plays hole and best score selected)
*6 Holes Alternate Shot (each player will tee off and alternate until holing)

The field will be pre-flighted based on handicap/age factors. There will be 16 flights of eight teams in a full field of 128 teams. Each AM/PM segment at each course (4 segments) will be awarded gift certificates to be redeemed immediately at the venue they finish on Tuesday. Each flight will pay 1st, 2nd, and 3rd with all ties being split. $600-$400-$200 per team respectively. If a player does not have a GHIN hdcp, please note on your entry.

We will do our best to accommodate traveling teams with Monday PM tee times and Tuesday AM tee times to help with travel. You will play each course on separate days flip flopping time of day as well. (Mon AM FCC - Tues PM SVCC) Non-alcoholic drinks will be provided both days on each course. There also will be ability to purchase alcoholic beverages for 21 and up at each venue. These venues do not reciprocate so please plan accordingly.
