ASGA Covid-19 Competition Regulations
Covid-19: The ASGA will be utilizing unique practices to assist in social distancing, these include but are not limited to a single golf cart for each competitor that choose to ride, no traditional scoreboard and no traditional awards ceremony. Caddies will not be allowed during this year?s Championship and all spectators must walk. Local rules will be put into place to address bunker rakes, flagsticks, scoring, etc. That information will be available to competitors in advance to the competition. Eligibility: All players must be individual members of ASGA and full-time residents of the state of
Arkansas. Non-residents are not eligible, with the following exception: a person may live across the state line, such as Texarkana, Texas, but must be a member of the Texarkana Country Club and an individual ASGA member. The minimum age is 16 unless approved by the ASGA Staff.
Format: This event will be 36 holes held at Chenal Country Club (Founders) with contestants playing 18 holes each day. Caddies will NOT be allowed this year, all spectators MUST walk. There are five (5) separate divisions:
CHAMPIONSHIP DIVISION 16+
- Tees: Approximately 5,800+ Yards
MID-AMATEUR 25+
- Tees: 5,200 ? 5,600 Yards
SENIOR DIVISION 50+
- Tees: 5,200 ? 5,600 Yards
SUPER SENIOR DIVISION 60+
- Tees: Not to exceed 5,200 Yards
MASTERS DIVISION 70+
- Tees: Not to exceed 5,200 Yards.
Entry Fee and Deadline: The entry fee of $225 includes carts and range balls for two tournament rounds, lunch and awards following the final round, and prizes to low finishers. Entry deadline is June 5th at 4:00 p.m.
Prizes/Awards: All Play will be flighted following the first round within the division, based on field size. The low finishers in each flight will receive a gift certificate from the Chenal Country Club Pro Shop. There will be no official Awards Ceremony as in the past due to social distancing guidelines.
Practice Rounds: Practice rounds may be scheduled starting May 27th anytime Tuesday ? Thursday and on Friday ? Sunday after 3:00. Practice Rounds may be scheduled 24 hours in advance. The first practice round is $25 (+ tax) cart fee, all subsequent practice rounds are $75 + tax. The only method of payment accepted is Credit Card.
